With filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti, which released on the 23rd May 2014, the Hindi film industry got its current Gen Y stars, Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. It has been 5 long years since the film released and everyone has come a long way, but what remains is the memory of the tornado that the two young talents had caused with their debut.
“Sabko aati nahi, meri jaati nahi”, said Tiger Shroff for the first time on screen exactly 5 years ago, and the entire nation went into a frenzy. Tiger was doing stunts that no one had ever seen before on screen. With an impeccable dialogue delivering ability, and ace dancing skills, Tiger won each and everyone’s heart with his debut.
Kriti Sanon, who was adored for her role as ‘Dimpy’ in Heropanti, was also welcomed by the audience with open arms. Owing to her marvelous talent and utmost graceful persona, she went on to do some amazing work in Bollywood.
The audience loved Kriti’s innocence and Tiger’s action-packed moves. Even the songs, be it ‘Whistle Baja’ or ‘Aa Raat Bhar’, were instant hits and are played very frequently, even today.
Heropanti was all about understanding the essence of love and true friendship, and how one should never give up on his/her love and friends. Today we celebrate 5 years of the movie, and also of ‘Babloo’ and ‘Dimpy’, which are characters that will stay with us for a very long time, as they helped us welcome two gems into the NGE family.
